Launch Plan Overview

Modified on Fri, 8 May at 2:59 PM

This page describes the Launch plan feature set and the small number of areas where Launch plan behavior differs from the general OpenClinica documentation.

ℹ️ Note: All user accounts on the Launch plan are non-Administrator accounts. Some features described in the OpenClinica documentation require Administrator access and are not available to Launch plan users. See the table and footnotes below for details.

¹ The Launch plan does not include Administrator users. As a result, some features available on other plans are not accessible on Launch. Because the Launch plan has no Administrator users, global site fields (Name, City, State, Zip, Country, Timezone) are editable by all users on this plan. To learn more about the differences between User and Administrator account types, see [User Access & Sharing].

Create a New Study

Launch plan users cannot create a new study from within the OpenClinica application. The Add a Study option is not available on this plan.

To start a new study, visit the OpenClinica website to subscribe or request a new study. Upon subscribing, OpenClinica will provision your study and provide you with a non-Administrator user account to begin study setup.

Usage Limits

The Launch plan is subject to per-study usage limits. OpenClinica monitors usage against these limits. If your study exceeds a limit, OpenClinica may charge for overages or require a plan upgrade.

  • OpenClinica support portal

  • Help center and knowledge base

  • Self-service compliance resources, regulatory guidance, and user documentation (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

Direct access to OpenClinica support agents by phone, email, or video is not included in the Launch plan. Response times and available support channels differ from enterprise offerings.
